Precision engineered, color-matched FRP frames are the perfect complement to your Chem-Pruf door. All internal components are non-organic and completely encapsulated, leaving a frame that is free of cavities, exposed reinforcements and fasteners. Additional reinforcements can be placed in the mold cavity and electric components can be added to easily accommodate all specialty hardware. Chem-Pruf frames are perfect for existing wall conditions and single frames purchased with hinges are fully assembled, easy to install, repair and maintain, plus they require no painting or finishing.

Welded
Chemically welded frame corners and throats provide a tight seal that prevents unwanted gaps or exposures in the frame.
FRAME (GEL COAT FINISH)
STYLE 4 - STANDARD
Chem-Pruf’s Style 4 equal rabbet frame has a profile of 2” x 5 ¾”. This frame conforms to SDI standard dimensions and easily adapts to all types of wall construction with a thickness of 5 ¾” or greater. The header will be 2” unless otherwise specified (see below).
Optional 4″ Header
Chem-Pruf’s Style 4 equal rabbet 4” header is optional with our Style 4 frame and has a profile of 4” x 5 ¾”. It also conforms to SDI standard dimensions. Although this header is typically used at CMU openings to maintain a standard nominal door height, it will easily adapt to all types of wall construction with a thickness of 5 ¾” or greater.
Double Acting
Although all of our frames can be manufactured without the stop, the style shown is Chem-Pruf’s Style 4DA with a profile of 2” x 5 ¾”, conforming to SDI standard dimensions. This frame is typically used where double acting doors are required, but can also be installed as a cased opening.
Fire Rated
Chem-Pruf’s Style 4 equal rabbet frame has a profile of 2” x 5 ¾” and can be rated up to 90 minutes. It also conforms to SDI standard dimensions. The header will be 2” unless otherwise stated.
Retrofit
Chem-Pruf’s Retrofit Style 4 equal rabbet frame has a profile of 1 ¾” x 5 ¾” and is commonly used to maximize door leaf size.
Flatback
Chem-Pruf’s Flatback Style 4 equal rabbet frame has a profile of 2” x 5 ¾” and can be rated up to 90 minutes. It also conforms to SDI standard dimensions. The flat back eliminates the cavity in the standard Style 4 frame. The header will be 2” unless otherwise stated.

Chem-Pruf’s Style 4.4 single rabbet frame has a profile of 2” x 4”. This frame accommodates all types of wall construction with a thickness of 4” or greater. The header will be 2” unless otherwise specified (see below).

Chem-Pruf’s Style 2 double rabbet frame has a profile of ¾” x 5 ¾” with a fixed 2 5/8” return designed to trim the wall, concealing rough and unfinished wall surfaces. The fixed flange is always to the door side. 1/8” x 2 5/8” angle trim is available to completely trim an opening with a wall thickness up to 18”. This frame is solid fiberglass and its narrow profile is perfect for maximizing the size of the door opening. Can also be manufactured at depths of 3 ½” and 4”.

Chem-Pruf’s Style 11 – 4” header is optional with our Style 11 single rabbet frame and has a profile of 4” x 9”, but can be manufactured in 1/4” increments from 4 1/4” to 9”. Chem-Pruf’s Variable Depth pultruded frame can be manufactured to accommodate jamb depths from 4” to 13 1/2”. This custom frame is ideal for varying wall thicknesses. The header will be 2” unless the optional 4” head is specified.
